Every year on the summer solstice – the day with the most light – the Longest Day is a global effort to end the darkness of Alzheimer’s. Spearheaded by Community Group members Holly Cluff and Nan Surufka, Odaiko Sonora has been participating since 2016 with a dawn-to-dusk day of service to our dojo, and although we cannot come together to care for our space this year, we’re finding other ways to remember why we love taiko throughout the month of June – and we’re inviting you all to join us!
In these first few weeks, we encourage you to think about the things that matter to you, practice a mindful morning drum roll, or tell us what taiko means to you – and please consider making a small donation to our team’s fundraising efforts! Every dollar helps get us closer to ending Alzheimer’s for good.
