Prepare for Belief

We love this time of year, with the windows open and the citrus blossoms making us dizzy with their sweet smell. It's the best time of year to be outdoors, playing and gathering, especially in the evening, so...

Please join us Saturday, March 14, from 7pm till 10pm at our studio for the third Rhythm Industry Performance Factory Review. Our artist-owned performing arts incubator space is one of the greatest adventures you'll ever see a group of people embark on. It embodies belief in human potential-- a belief artists hold as basic assumption. Our investment in this building mirrors the risks artists take every day to explore this belief, even in these distressing economic times.

You'll see excerpts and works in progress by groups now calling Rhythm Industry home. Our spring Review features demos by resident taijichuan and aikido groups, aerial silks class, and Odaiko Sonora students and performers. It will also include excerpts from works by Thom Lewis Dance, Jodi Netzer, Batucaxé Afro-Brasilian dance and percussion ensemble. We'll end the evening with pyrotechnic demos and performance by Flam Chen. Enjoy cookies and juice and a fun, informal atmosphere where you can meet the performers, kindred believers in the power of creativity, and lovers of spring in Tucson. The $10 suggested donation goes directly to supporting this unique artspace and artistic projects by its resident groups. For info, email karen@tucsontaiko.org or call (520) 481-8003.
